Grape Seed Extract

Since ancient times, grapes have been celebrated as a fruit brimming with blessings. This is because every part of the grape is rich in nutrients known as plant polyphenols, including proanthocyanidins, quercetin, resveratrol, anthocyanins, and more.

1. Slows Skin Aging and Prevents Skin Cancer
The causes of skin aging are numerous: free radical damage, reduced collagen production, slowed cell renewal, decreased hormones, and more. Among these, collagen loss is most closely linked to wrinkles, particularly due to long-term ultraviolet (UV) damage.
Studies have found that grape seed extract can help reduce collagen loss, maintain skin elasticity, and minimize damage from UV radiation. Importantly, it may also help prevent the occurrence of skin cancer.

2. Lowers Blood Pressure
In general, early-stage hypertension shows no obvious symptoms. However, poorly controlled long-term blood pressure affects blood vessels throughout the body, leading to arteriosclerosis and conditions such as stroke, hypertension, and kidney failure.
A study published in the journal Metabolism involving patients with metabolic syndrome found that after four weeks of grape seed extract supplementation, it effectively lowered both diastolic and systolic blood pressure.

3. Slows Brain Degeneration (Alzheimer's Disease)
Aging causes various bodily functions to decline, and one of the most feared is brain degeneration—especially the gradual loss of memory, to the point where even closest family members may no longer be recognized.

So, what drives brain degeneration? Recent animal studies suggest that brain degeneration and memory loss are linked to immune-related proteins in the blood. Grape seed extract has been shown to restore normal levels of 13 proteins in the brain, block abnormal protein growth, help the brain recover faster from trauma (e.g., stroke), and prevent memory decline and cognitive impairment caused by Alzheimer's disease.
